چکیده

In this investigation, the species of root-knot nematodes (RKNs) infesting weeds in kiwifruit orchards were investigated Ordu Province, Türkiye. A survey was conducted 2018 and roots with RKN infestations found orchards. The infested weed samples collected from 27 fruit located Province. Identification RKNs performed using molecular method based on mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA). mtDNA region between cytochrome oxidase II large subunit ribosomal RNA amplified two pairs primers TRNAH/MRH106 MORF/MTHIS. Species-specific previously described used to confirm Meloidogyne as last step. incognita (Kofoid & White, 1919), arenaria (Neal, 1889) hapla (Chitwood, 1949) (Tylenchida: Meloidogynidae) identified fifteen (2 unidentified) eight families. most frequent 74.1% infested, followed by M. at 22.2% 3.7%. study Erigeron canadensis L. Meloidogyne aberrans sp. nov. (Nematoda: Meloidogynidae), a new root-knot nematode parasitizing kiwifruit in China

High infection rates of roots of wild kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis Planch) and soil infestation by a root-knot nematode were found in Anshun, GuiZhou Province, China. Morphology, esterase phenotype and molecular analyses confirmed that this nematode was different from previously described root-knot nematodes. In this report, the species is described, illustrated and named Meloidogyne aberrans...

On the species status of the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne ulmi Palmisano & Ambrogioni, 2000 (Nematoda, Meloidogynidae)

The root-knot nematode Meloidogyne ulmi is synonymised with Meloidogyne mali based on morphological and morphometric similarities, common hosts, as well as biochemical similarities at both protein and DNA levels. M. mali was first described in Japan on Malus prunifolia Borkh.; and M. ulmi in Italy on Ulmus chenmoui W.C. Cheng. Morphological and morphometric studies of their holo- and paratypes ...

DNA Complexity of the Root-knot Nematode (Meloidogyne spp.) Genome.

Cot curves derived from renaturation kinetics of sheared denatured DNA indicated that the genome of six populations representing the four most common root-knot nematode species (Meloidogyne incognita, M. arenaria, M. javanica, and M. hapla) is composed of 20% repetitive and 80% nonrepetitive sequences of DNA. Cot curves were almost identical, indicating that all populations had a haploid genome...

Meloidogyne haplanaria n. sp. (Nematoda: Meloidogynidae), a Root-knot Nematode Parasitizing Peanut in Texas.

Meloidogyne haplanaria n. sp. is described and illustrated from specimens parasitizing peanut in Texas. The perineal pattern of the female is rounded to oval with a dorsal arch that is high and rounded except for striae near the vulva, which are low with rounded shoulders. The striae are distinctly forked in the lateral field, and punctations often occur as a small group near the tail tip and s...

Meloidogyne petuniae n. sp. (Nemata: Meloidogynidae), a Root-knot Nematode Parasitic on Petunia in Brazil.

Meloidogyne petuniae n. sp. is described and illustrated from specimens parasitic on petunia (Petunia hybrida L.) in Brasilia, Brazil. The perineal pattern of the female is elongate to ovoid with a high, squarish arch and widely spaced, coarse striae. The stylet of the female is 12.9-16.5 microm long and has three small, rounded knobs that are distinctly set off from the shaft. Each knob is mar...
